The two diagrams illustrate the monthly levels of precipitation and average temperature recorded in an area of East Africa over the course of a year.
Overall, both rainfall and temperature fluctuate throughout the year, with higher values in the spring and summer months and lower figures in the autumn.
Looking at the temperature line graph, the average temperature rises steadily from about 21°C in January to reach a peak of approximately 24°C in March. Following this, it declines gradually to its lowest point of around 20.5°C in July. Temperatures then climb again to about 23.5°C in October before dropping slightly by December.
Turning to the precipitation bar chart, rainfall levels begin at just under 25 mm in January and February. Thereafter, there is a sharp increase, peaking at nearly 260 mm in June. However, as summer progresses, precipitation decreases significantly, reaching its lowest level of around 20 mm in July. Moving into autumn, rainfall rises considerably once more before experiencing a gradual decline towards the end of the year.
