The line-graph and pie chart give information about migration to the UK. The line one shows how long immigrants in the year from 2000 to 2008 intended to live in the UK, while the pie chart shows causes for leaving hometown on the year 2008
Looking at the line graph, it is immediately evident that the length “up to 2 years” recorded the highest figure of the illustration in most year, while the opposite was true for the number “2 to 4 years”. Otherwise, in the pie chart given, Work dominated the chart in the number of immigrants but No reason stated ranked at last.
About the line chart, in the first year 2000, “4 or more years” and “up to 2 years” ranked first with 150 immigrants, each. Whereas, “2 to 4 years” stood at the bottom of the chart with approximately 60 immigrants. In the year 2002, we witnessed a considerable increase in the number “up to 2 years” when it had overtaken “4 or more years” to be the most figure of the chart.
In the last year 2008, after some fluctuations, “up to 2 years” still boasted the highest figure in the chart with exactly 250 immigrants. On the other hand, “4 or more year” came after the championship with around 150 immigrants which was about 50 immigrants higher than the figure of “2 to 4 years.
To talk about the pie chart, Work recorded the highest figure of the graph with 38%, Study was exactly 6% lower than Work, while Accompany/Join family ranked third at 16%. Finally, both “No reason stated” and “Other” came at last with 7%.
