The graph and chart demonstrate a comparison between the average monthly maximum temperatures and the average monthly rainfall in two major Australian cities, Darwin and Sydney.
In detail, we can observe that the highest temperature registered in Sydney is between the months of December and February. However Darwin has a higher level of temperature almost all the year, with some spikes between September and January.
Related to monthly rainfall, the chart illustrates that in Darwin the months of January, February and March are quite rainy, and the driest ones are the months between May and September. On the other hand, Sydney has light rains almost all year round with a little spike in May and June.
These data show that through the year Darwin presents regular but high temperatures, reaching 30 c° and 35 c°, while Sydney presents temperatures that vary drastically, going from temperatures of 25 c° to 15 c°, and with respect to rainfall it happens on the contrary, Darwin is the one that presents abysmal differences, going from 300mpm to 100mpm and even having months without rain, when in Sydney rains remain around 100mpm and 150mpm constantly throughout the year.
