The diagram illustrates how much money was spent on six consumer products in four different countries in Europe .
Overall, the British were the biggest spenders in all six categories among the nations compared in the bar chart, while the lowest spending levels were attributed to German consumers. However, more money was spent on toys and photographic film than on any other products.
British consumers spent over 160.000 pounds sterling on three items, photographic film at 170,000 PS, toys at approximately 165.000 PS, and CDs at a little over 162,000 PS. The figures for spending on toys were the same in both France and Italy, at nearly 160,000 PS. By way of comparison, France, the second larger spender paid out more for CDs and photographic film, respectively at a little over 155,000 PS and at 166,000 PS, but less on tennis racquets than Italy did, which is the lowest figure shown on the chart at 145,000 PS.
Regarding personal stereos, both France and Germany spent approximately 146.000 PS, whereas Italy spent 150,000 PS. Interestingly German consumers were the lowest spenders overall with approximately the same amount, just under 150,000 PS for each of the items.
