The line graph compares the ratio of Internet users in three countries: t he USA, Canada, and Mexico, between 1999 and 2009.
It is clear that the percentage of people who used the Internet in all three countries showed a significant upward trend over the period shown. Overall, th e USA and Canada had a much larger number of Internet users than Mexico.
The proportion of Internet users in the USA at the start of the period was the highest, with roughly one quarter. In the following years, it rose substantially and reached approximately 80 percent at the end of the period. At the same time, the percentage of Internet usage in Canada ini tially ranked at second place, at exactly 10 percent, and went up dramatically to just under 100 percent in 2009. Canada became the country that ha d the highest proportion of people using the Internet over all.
In 1999, Mexico represented nearly 5 percent and was the lowest. Over the next ten years, the figur e for this nation steadily increased but still couldn’t surpass th e USA and Canada .
