Children of all ages read books at a higher percentage than any other activity before they go to bed. Meanwhile, eating is the activity that children in the age groups 4-5years and 6-8years do not do the most.
Reading is a favorite choice of children of all ages, especially offspring aged 4-5 years, accounting for 70% and is the age group with the highest percentage of reading before bed. More than half of children aged 6-8 years old have the habit of brushing their teeth while sleeping compared to only 30% of the youngest age group and 45% of the remaining children.
The percentage of children taking a bath before bed at ages 1-3 is 40% higher than the other two age groups. Offspring aged 1-3 and 4-5 years old have similar percentages of eating and watching movies before bed, 20% and 18%. Moreover, the eating habits in the two largest age groups account for the lowest rates, only 10% and 7%.
