The line graph provide information about energy consumption in the United States in terms of the types of fuels from 1980 to 2030. While Petrol and Oil, Coal and Natural Gas have been consumed at least 15 quadrillion unit per year for a period of five decades in U.S., the remaining three kinds of fuel with Nuclear, Wind / Solar and Hydropower have been done less than 10 quadrillion unit annually.
On one hand, after the consumption of Petrol and Oil reached the bottom for about 31 quadrillion unit in 1985, that rose from approximately 31 to 44 quadrillion unit for 35 years, and is anticipated to increase to about 49 quadrillion unit in 2030. The consumption of Coal and Natural Gas has increased from 16 to 25 quadrillion unit and from 20 to 25 in an annual year respectively. The former is projected to increase by around 6 for 15 years, while the latter will level off for the same period.
On the other hand, the consumption of Nuclear had grown gradually from 3 to 6 quadrillion unit per year for 25 years from 1980 and then keep the same level for the next 25 years. The consumption of Wind/Solar and Hydropower keeps on fluctuating over three decades from 1980. The former is anticipated to level off until 2027 and reach 5 quadrillion unit in 2030, the latter decreased by about 2 quadrillion unit for 5 years and will remain the same level till 2030.
