When it comes to timber, Russia led with a production share of 37.5% of the world’s total. In comparison, Europe produced only 9.2% of the global timber. South Africa contributed 15% and Asia produced 14.3% of the total timber. North America and South Africa accounted for 12.8% and 11.2% of the world’s timber production, respectively.
