The pie charts illustrate the world’s forests and timber production in six regions of the world in 2010 by percentage. Overall, South America was the country with the highest world’s forests, meanwhile Rusia was the country with the highest timber production.
The first pie chart shows South America had the highest percentage of world’s forests at above a quarter (26,5%). While Rusia was the second country with the highest world’s forests at approcimately a quarter (24,2%). On the other hand, North America at above two in ten (21,9%), South Africa at under two in ten (13,2%), Asia at under one in ten (9,2%), and Europe had the lowest at 5%.
The second pie chart shows Rusia had the highest percentage production of timber at 37,5%, while South America at 15% similarly with Asia at 14,3%. Meanwhile North America at 12,8% and South Africa at 11,2%. Europe had the lowest percentage of timber production at 9,2%.
