The line graph illustrates the number of undergraduate students in thousands in four different countries: Sweden, Spain, Greece and Australia between 1995 and 2015.
Overall, the number of undergraduate students in Spain, Greece and Australia showed an upward trend, whereas the Sweden is the only country which experienced a downward trend. The quantity of undergraduates in the Sweden showing the highest figure at the start, gradually lost its leadership.
The number of undergraduates in the Spain, Greece and Australia showed a rise over the period. The number of undergraduates in the Spain being in the second highest point at the start of approximately 260 000 in 1995, showed a gradual rise until 2010, and experienced a slight fall at the end of the period in 2015 reaching the number above 300 000. The Australia, showing nearly same figure at the start of the period as the Spain, demonstrating roughly 240 000 of the students in 1995, conversely showed a gradual fall until 2010, and increased steadily peaking at approximately 280 000. The Greece being the only country which has not experienced any deeps during the whole period, showed a gradual rise starting at the point of approximately 90 000 and ending with roughly 170 000 at the end.
Sweden was the only country which showed a steady decline in the number of undergraduates. Showing the highest figure at the start of approximately 350 000 in 1995, the Spain experienced an insignificant fall until 2010, and then dropped dramatically showing nearly 200 000 of the students at the end of the period in 2015.
