The given graph illustrates the consumption of ground water and public supply water by various industries on yearly basis. Overall, chemical industry has consumed the substantial amount of water from both the sources.
To begin with, the fuel and textile industries consumed only 10 million cubic meters and the paper industry with additional 10 million litres. Next, metal industry accounted up to 90 million litres. However, the remaining industries like food, machinery and chemicals consumed more tha 100 million resulting to 190, 100, and 240 millions of water in cubic meter.
On the contrary, these industries relied more on ground water compared with public supply water. Chemical industry hit the highest point of 430, followed by the metal industry with 240 and then comes the paper industry with 190. Likewise, food industry used only 110 million litres. The fuel, machinery and textile consumed about 70,10 and 80 million litres respectively
