The line graph illustrates average carbon dioxide emissions per person in Ireland, Sweden, France, and Spain from 1970 to 2010.
On the whole, the graph reveals a downward trend among 3 countries with exception of Spain. As can be clearly seen from the graph, average carbon emission per person was highest in Sweden in 1970, whereas in Spain it made up a smallest share.
In 1970, Sweden was accounted for 14 the highest carbon dioxide emission per person, which experienced dramatic decrease from 14 to approximately 9 by 2010. This was followed by France which made up from around 9 average carbon emission per person to just 6 in 2010. As far as Ireland was concerned, the index fluctuated over the period as the whole with a sharp rise to 11 by 1990 emissions per person then fell to 8 in 2010.
Regarding emission per person in Spain, however it started with the lowest emissions at 4 tonnes per person by 1970, it is figures rose steadily at around 7 In 2010.
