Overall, the data of time that users spent on Twitter witnessed an upward trend while Facebook showed a downward trend, the figure for people opting for using Instagram and Snapchat either dropped or increased.
Obviously, the amount of Facebook users spent time on this app stayed the highest position, about 24 hours, in 2016. Additionally, the amount of average time on Instagram and Twitter at 23 hours and 21 hours respectively, while Snapchat only had 12 hours. However, the chart has undegone an interestingly information when the time of using Facebook sharply dropped, at 10 hours, corresponding increase in the use of Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat in 2017. Notably, the number of using Instagram reached a peak of 40 hours, along with the increasing of time-spending on Twitter and Snapchat (at 25 hours and 23 hours respectively). Unfortunately, in 2018, the figure of time that users spent on Snapchat had took the top position, at 30 hours, whereas the time of using Instagram dropped at 30 hours, similar with Twitter.
In 2019, the data of Snapchat, eventhought stayed at highest potision, rose at 42 hours, along with Twitter, at 35 hours. Meanwhile, the number of time that users spent on Instagram significantly decreased at 15 hours. However, in 2020, the number of user spent time on Twitter reached at the highest position in the period, while the figure of user spending time on Instagram increased higher than Snapchat, about 35 hours.
