The bar chart provides data on strategies of waste dealing, including burnt, chemicals, recycled, and landfilled in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and the UK.
Overall, it can be seen that the highest proportion of waste is recycled in the Netherlands. Whereas, the lowest proportion of waste is burnt in the UK. Further, the landfilling strategy is prominent for waste dealing in the UK as compared to other countries.
Looking at the burnt and chemical used data sets in more detail, it is evident that dealing with waste using the burning process stood at 10% in the Netherlands. Whereas, dealing with waste using chemicals was almost 13% in this country. In contrast, Italy and Spain’s burning process is more prominent as compared to using chemicals. 22% and 30% of waste is dealt with by burning in Italy and Spain, respectively. Whereas, each country uses 18% of chemicals for waste dealing. However, the UK landfills and uses 18% of chemicals for dealing with waste.
Turning to the remaining data sets, it is clear that the Netherlands recycled 68% of waste, which is the highest proportion on the chart. This percentage dropped to 11% in Spain, and remained the same in the UK. Finally, the Netherlands dealt with waste using landfills at around 8%. This proportion increased to 40% in Italy and remained unchanged in Spain. The UK used almost 65% of waste for landfilling, which is the second highest point on the chart.
