Audi consistently reduced the hours needed to manufacture a car, while mercedes showed a slight rise initially before experiencing a gradual decrease. Volvo’s figures remained relatively stable, whereas Nissan fluctuated but ended the period at a similar level to where it began.
In 1999, Audi had the longest production time, at just over 30 hours per vehicle. However, this figure fell steadily thyroughout the period, reaching approximately 23 hours by 2006. Mer cedes sarted at atound 25 hours and increased slightly to a peak of about 27 hours in 2002. After that, production time diclined gradually to roughly 23 hours at the end of the period.
Volvo required about 23 hours to produce a car in 1999 and showed only minot fluctuations. By contranst, Nissan had the shortest produuction time overall, beginning at approxemately 21 hours. Although this figure dropped to around 19 hours in 2005, it rose again to justover 21 hours by the final year.
In summary, Audi achieved the most significant reduction in production time, while the other manufacturers showed more moderate changes.
