UK represented the highest initial value at 60kg in 1961, this figure increased continuously and peaked at about 68kg in 1991, after which it kept falling and finally dropped to 50kg.Next came Canada which represented an initial value at around 45kg, the figure rose slightly to almost 55kg in 1991 but fell again to 50kg in 2013, which was almost the same as that for UK. Eventually, UK and Canada ranked first together.
Compared to the other two countries left, the figure for Kenya stood at about 19kg in 1961, but it continued to decrease uniformly until 2013 and Kenya finally became the country with the lowest annual meat consumption per person. The numbers for China and Brazil in 1961 were the lowest, with only about 2kg. However, both of their figures climbed constantly to about 8kg in 1981. After that, the figure for China skyrocketeed to 40kgin 2011 and rose agin by nearly 2kg in 2013, taking the third place in the end. Figure for Brazil also rose consistently. The year 2001 marked the point at which Brazil overtook the figure for Kenya. Then it peaked at approximately 18kg in 2011 and maintained steady until 2013.
In conclusion, the most prominent increase can be found in the figure for China. The figures for UK and Canada kept steady at a high level while Kenya fell consistently to become by far the lowest figure.
