The bar chart gives information about the changes in a highest level of Asian elephants’ population from 1997 to 2004.
Overall, the most population of Asian elephants by far was concentrated in India, whereas the least in China. It is clear that the number of this species decreased in all countries, except Cambodia and Laos.

When it comes to Malaysia and SriLanka, the population of elephants there was 3000. Considering 2004, the number of the animals in India decreased significantly by approximately 2500, whereas in Myanmar and Sri Lanka the figures remained almost at the same level. In Malaysia and Thailand, the population dropped drastically to only 1000.
