The given line graph depicts the information about utilization of three kind of spread margarine, low fat and reduced spreads and butter over the period of 26 years.
Overall, it is evident that usage of butter and margarine decreased gradually whereas low fat and reduced spreads consumption increased sharply and outraced the other two during the end of period.
In the year 1981 butter which was the most popular spread contributed around 140 grams. It rose and reached to 160grams within the next five years. The figure decreased and continued to decline until it reached 50 grams in the year 2007. Likewise, nearly 90grams margarine was used in the year 1981. It is noteworthy that it showed fluctuations in the middle years and after the year 2001 it went down suddenly and hit the rock bottom of about 40 grams in the year 2007 respectively.
On the other hand , the consumption of low fat and reduced spreads began in the year 1996. The figure climbed up and reached to its peak of about 80grams in the year 2001.
