The given graph shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country. With the x-axis portraying the years (1979-2004) and y-axis showcasing consumption in grams per person per week.
Beef was the most consumed meet in 1979 with almost consumption of 220 grams per person every week, it increased steadily until 1989 and then had a sharp fall every year with only a 120grams consumption per person in 2004. Lamb started off with 150grams consumption and never seemed to take off the pace with recession every year reaching to a low of 70 in 2004.
Chicken seems to be the only lucky winner here with it being the only one to face a continuous rise in its consumption, with having only almost 150grams usage to reaching an all-time high of 250 in 2004. Fish was like the tortoise in a race, slowly and steadily just moving with no increase decrease in its consumption and being at a consistent 50grams consumption from 1979 to 2004.
In overall, we conclude with the fact that chicken is the sole winner. Beef and lamb seemed to lose the track of race with time and fish never seemed in competition.
