On the other hand, beef and lamb started at approximately 220 grams and 150 grams per person per week, respectively, at the beginning of the period. However, both of these types of meat showed a downward trend throughout the years, decreasing to around 125 grams for beef and 75 grams for lamb by 2004. Fish consumption remained largely unchanged at around 50 grams per person per week and was consistently the least popular choice.
