The line graph provides information about the quantity of various meat and fish consumed per person a week starting from 1979 to 2004.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is apparent that there was a downward trend in the consumption of beef, lamb and fish, while a reverse pattern could be seen in that of chicken over the years shown.
In 1979, the amount of beef consumed was the highest, at around 220 grams, followed by the lower figure for lamb and chicken, at approximately 148 grams. However, there were only over 50 grams of fish eaten by a person per week, which was the least common meat
In the following years, after witnessing fluctuation between 230 and 170 grams, the quantity of beef ingested significantly decreased and reached its lowest point at about 100 grams in 2004. By contrast, the amount of chicken eaten saw a surge to around 250 grams. Despite the same initial quantity to chicken, there was a decline in the figure for lamp, and it finished at roughly 60 grams; whereas, the consumption of fish was stable and ended the period at around.
