While, fish was consumed around 4 times less than beef in 1979, and this index faced a minimal decrease of 10 grams by 2004.
In the beginning of the period, both chicken and lamb were preferred equally, around 150 grams of these types of meat was consumed per individual in a week. However, the consumption of lamb halved by 2004, whereas chicken consumption experienced a remarkable growth throughout the period and peaked at 250 grams in 2004.
