The line graph illustrates the differences in wheat exports in Australia, Canada, and the European Community from 1987 to 1990.
From an overall perspective, it can be clear that the number of tonnes in Canada and the European Community changed substantially, while the quantity of tonnes in Australia experienced a slight downward trend during the same period.
In 1985, Australia’s exports were 15 million tonnes and increased steadily in 1986. At that time, exports in Canada and the European Community went down. However, from 1986 to 1990, exports in Australia reduced moderately to above 10 million tonnes.
The European Community remained unchanged from 1986 to 1988, while Canada experienced significant growth to 25 million tonnes. It was the highest amount among all exports during the entire period. The figure for tonnes in Canada’s exports hit a gradual increase to the 1985 level in 1990, after undergoing a rapid decrease to 15 million tonnes in 1989. The quantity of exports in the European Community went through a period of steep increase to 20 million tonnes at the end of the period, exceeding the number of tonnes in Canada, which had approximately 18 million tonnes.
