Overall, all countries showed an upward trend of money spent on cars. China dominated the other countries in spending money on cars throughout the period. Indonesia was the country where money spending increased significantly, while in the remaining countries, it rose steadily.
China accounted for the largest share over the given period, starting at 80 million US dollars in 1995, and increased to approximately 95 million US dollars by the end. Regarding Vietnam, the figure started at approximately 55 million in 1995, climbed gradually to around 75 million US dollars over the period, which was considerably lower than China.
Turning to Indonesia, who spent the lowest amount of money most of the period, beginning at 30 million US dollars in 1995, rose steadily to 40 million US dollars. After which, the figure surpassed Thailand in 2003 and surged to just over 70 million US dollars close to Vietnam in 2005. Thailand hovered between 50 million US dollars and just over 60 million US dollars over the given period, rendering it the smallest share by the end.
