The graph compares the changes in monthly profits of three British based car companies in the four different quarters for the 2000 financial year.
Overall, the Branson Motors and Curtis Car Mart have recorded a rise in profit numbers by the end of financial year, whereas Acme Sports Cars recorded a drop in figures.
By the end of 1st Quarter, apart from Curtis Car Mart, other car companies have observed a growth in profit numbers. The revenue of Acme Sports Cars and Branson Motors went from 70,000 pounds and 20,000 pounds to 80,000 pounds and 40,000 pounds respectively. On the other hand, the figures decreased from 40,000 pounds to nearly 20,000 pounds for Curtis Car Mart.
After 1st quarter, the introduction of taxes on luxury goods have adversly affected the income of Acme Sports Cars that dropped to around 10,000 pounds from 70,000 pounds by the end of 2nd quarter, which recovered steadily by the end of 3rd quarter. Whereas, from the starting of 2nd quarter until the end of 3rd quarter, the revenue of Branson Motors and Curtis Car Mart increased from 40,000 pounds and 20,000 pounds to approximately 50,000 pounds and 40,000 pounds respectively.
After the media has reported a boost in the economy, by the end of financial year, the profits of all three car companies, namely Curtis Car Mart, Branson Motors, and Acme Sports Cars reached around 80,000 pounds, 60,000 pounds, and 40,000 pounds respectively.
