The line graph illustrates the number of queries received from January to June bythe tourist information office in town in 2011.
Overall, there were three types of inquries received by the tourist office: in person, by letter/email, and by telephone. It is evident that visitors in the city made more queries in person and by telephone. Whereas the data for queries received by letter and email saw a decline by the end of the sixth month.
In January, there were around 900 inquiries made by telephone followed by around 790 inquiries received via letter and email. However, the queries received by both the means of communication dropped by around 100 each just the next month. Meanwhile, there was seen a rise in face-to-face queries by 200 in February.
In the span of 6 months, the in-person questions rose drastically reaching from around 400 queries in January to around 1900 queries in June. Similarly, inquiries received via telephone increased gradually in half a year excluding the month of February. It can be seen that this was the second most preferred mode of communication in the month of May and June with 1400 and 1600 queries received respectively. The least preferred method to ask queries was via letter and emails and it got reduced to around 350 queries in June.
