The line graph illustrates how many inquiries the Tourist Information Office received in a particular city during 6 months of 2011 via three methods of communication.
Overall, there was a dramatic increase in postal/email and in-person requirements, especially in the latter half of the period, while the opposite trend can be seen in the figure for telephone fell slightly. It is also clear that the amount of in-person inquiries had the highest figures at the end of the surveyed timescale.
The number of visitor inquiries by telephone started at about 900, after which it saw a slight fluctuation to 1000 two months later. The figure for inquiries in person saw a similar change but to a much lesser extent, growing to exactly 800. Conversely, the rate of inquiries by postal and email declined modestly to around 700 in the first 2 months.
From March to Jun 2011, the number of inquiries by telephone increased significantly to precisely 1600. A similar change was seen in the figure for inquiries by person, but to a greater extent, reaching approximately 1900. Opposite changes can be experienced in the number of letters and emails, which decreased sharply from under 700 to 380 in the last four months.
