The line graph illustrates how many people asked for information at the tourist information office via three methods: telephone, letter/email and in person, from January to June of 2001.
overall, telephone was the most used medium in the beginning but, by June, most enquiries were made in person. whereas, the use of email/letters to ask for information at the tourist office fell sharply.
Investigating the graph in more detail, it is evident that, 800 people made enquiry to the tourist office in January 2001 by telephone. only 400 people used letter/email and 600 people came in person at the same month. this number stayed more or less stable throughout march for letter/ emails but a steep/sharp increase was seen in physical enquiries by march 2001. between February and march both telephone and in person enquiry was done by 800 people but by the end of march more than 800 people were asking for information in person.
the use of letters/emails gradually fell over the next three months while the use of other two methods continued to increase. by June, only 200 people were using letters/email to make queries to the tourist information office. the amount of in person enquiry overtook telephone enquiry in march and continued to sharply climb at 1200 people in the month of June. although use of telephone continued to increase as well, but it remained just over 1000 by the end of June.
