Band 5: The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over six-month period in 2011 (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The given line graph shows the amount of requires which are received by Tourist Information Office in the given city during six months in 2011.

On the whole, the number of requires in person and by telephone increased while by letter decreased between January and June.

At the first glance, the both rose figures in the graph shown, in face to face and by call, started with just above 400 and around 900 humans in January respectively. Then, in individual requirements steadily went up to 800 while other one had a trendy changes until 1000 during two-month period till the March in 2011 and stay steady for an another month when in person rocketed by about 450 and showed larger sum than another one. The amount of the two figures, enquire in human and by phones, improved steadily until the end of the period and hitted their peak to roughly 1900 and exactly 1600 irrespectively.

Turning to the other line above, a number of received enquiries by email were a little less than 800 at the first, however it slightly declined to nearly 700 during three months. After that, it plummeted by approximately 370 from March to May and while the last month, it remained at 390 in the middle of 2011.
