Overall, given are two rates concerning students of both sexes. It is evident that women are far more likely to study at the university than men. Both sexes saw considerable fluctuations, with peaks at the number subsequent to the year 2000.
From 1992 to 2000, the male rate varied at somewhere between 70,000 and 76,000, with an increase by 5000 in 1995 and a fall until 1998. However, the indicator has increased slowly since 2000. As a result, around 95,000 males graduated from university in 2006.
Meanwhile, the number of females revealed fluctuations, ranging from 98,000 to 104,000. Specifically, although growth to 104,000 in 1995, it declined. In the latter half of the period, increasing from 100,000 to 126,000, the indicator stabilized between 2004 and 2005. After one year, the number of students rose dramatically to 148,000.
