Overall, it can be clearly seen that consumption of whole milk has darstically decline over the period however low fat milk showed a some fluctuate.

First of all, in 1970 citizens of Us prefer to whole milk almost 25% per capita, which is highest consumption compare to the low fat milk. However, only 6% low fat milk consume in gallons which is poor consumption. After that wasting of whole milk was significantly decreased to 20% in 1980 but using of low fat milk was slightly increased to approximately 10 % in the same year. In 1990 both types of milk showed a similar per capita consumption with approximately 14%, respectively .Moreover, expending of whole milk continue to decreased with only 5% in the next 25 years. And then, low fat milk was showed an almost same per capita consumption in between 25 years with 14%.
