The table provides information in percentages of technologies that belonged to housholds in a particular country between 2019 and 1920.
Overall, the frequency of all the appliances steadily increased throughout the period. While the most frequent houshold appliance in the start were washing machines, the least used device were vacuum cleaners. However, despite the difference in the beginning, all three devices finished at 100% by 2019.
In 1920, 10% housholds had washing machines, being the most popular category. Whereas, refrigerators and vacuum cleaners were less preferrable, accounting for only 5% and 2% respectively. In 1940, the figure of washing machines increased by a significant 20% to 30%, refrigerators rose to 20%, and vacuum cleaners also increased to 15%. All the figures continued to rose rapidly by 1960, increasing by around 25-30%.
In 1980, 75% of residents had washing machines, 80% had refrigerators, and 85% had vacuum cleaners. 2000 had shown contineous increasing, by which percentages reached 95%, 90%, and 85%. Finally, by 2019, 100% of housholds had every appliance in their home.
