The data illustrates alterations that occurred in the number of part-time workers in countries located in the United Kingdom during a 30-year period.
Overall, the biggest change was in Scotland and England. The results show that the part-time employment rate in Northern Ireland and Wales had a small shift.
It can be seen that there was a substantial upsurge in part-time employment rate in England during given period. From around 25% it grew to almost 31%. Similarly, big change was recognized in Scotland where the rate was slightly more than 11% in 1980 and remarkably escalated by 10%, reaching almost 20% in 2010. However, Northern Ireland faced minimal changes and, after being at a level of 15% it had a slight decrease of approximately 2–3%. The same situation was with Wales, where the indicator of partly employed workers was a bit more than 30% in 1980 and, by 2010, became almost 35%.
