The line graph illustrates the percentage of people visiting museum at least once a year across four different age groups between 1980 and 2010.
The 50+ age group had the highest percentage throughout the period, while representatives of 15-24 age range had the lowest visits. In contrast, the remaining two stayed at the same level by the end.
Looking at the details, 25-34 and 35-49 age brackets fluctuated almost equally during the whole period. In 1980 both started at over 35% and the figure declined gradually to 30% by 1990. However, they increased significantly with approximately 5% difference. Both categories remained stable until 2010 before experiencing a slight drop. At the end, it is apparent that younger people show more interest than the older age class.
From 1980, the proportion of those aged over 50 remained relatively stable, with a modest rise from around 48% to nearly 50%. Although this was followed by a gradual decline to nearly 42%, yet it remained the leading group. As for the proportion of teenagers, the number began with 20% and went up to 25% after a decade. This figure stayed constant for 15 years, but it then decreased back to 22%.
