The given illustration compares the proportion of internet access in households of European country in urban/suburban and rural areas between 1999 and 2004.
Overall, internet access increased steadily in both areas, but in urban/suburban households had higher access than the rural households throughout the period.
In 1999, around 15% of urban/suburban homes had internet connection whereas, only a minor number of house had access in rural. Over the next two years, both figures rose gradually, with urban area access reaching about 50% and three fold of it in rural areas.
Moreover, the connectivity number was increased slowly after 2002. In 2003, It went up by only 2% in urban/suburban households and in rural areas, the figures had growth of 10%, which was forth fold of all full percentage. After a year, percentage increased slightly with 4%, which was pike numbers of internet access in of urban/suburban home. On the other hand, there was rose of 10% in rural area, accounted for almost a quarter.
