The bar chart illustrates the the proportion of urban /sub -urban and rural households having internet accessed in the United Kingdom from 1999 to 2004 .
It is clear that urban area had the highest percentage of internet accessed .By contarst ,the lowest internet accessed in rural households .
As can be seen from the graph ,for urban area ,the proportion of internet accessed in urban area was approximately 15 % in 1999 and it increased gradually from almost 40 % 2001 . Between 2001 and 2004 the percentage of internet accessed in urban area rose to 40 % from about 55 % .
On the other hand , rural households saw an increasing trent in the percentage of internet accessed ,rising from about 4 % to nearly 15 % between 1999 and 2002 . The proportion of rural households in internet accessed went up slightly from around 15 % in 2002 to approximately 35 % in 2004 .
