Overall, the figure for children’s books followed an upward trend while the adult fiction books and educational books followed a downward trend.
It is clear that children’s books experienced a sharp increase from just above 30 million dollars in 2002 to well above 50 million dollars in 2006.
On the other hand, adult fiction and educational books had to oppose trend from 2002 to 2006. Adult fiction experienced a slightly decrease in sales from approximately 45 million dollars in 2002 to under 40 million dollars in 2003. Besides that the educational books grew in sales roughly from 25 million dollars in 2002 to above 30 million dollars in 2003.
