The line graph compares the use of railway tracks by four different countries ( CHINA, USA, RUSSIA, and INDIA) from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, while the use of railway truck by USA and RUSSIA witnessed a downward trajectory towards the end, the reverse were true for CHINA and INDIA which experienced a pronounced increase over time. It is also noteworthy that USA constantly remained the lead throughout, the railway track length usage was higher km than others.
The railway track length usage by USA commencing with 250,000 km and showed downward trajectory by the end of the period which reached approximately 225,000 km in 2010. Russia, on the other hand, mirrored USA’s trend. In 1980, railway track length usage was 150,000 km in Russia and illustrated a gradual downwards trend towards the end and finishing at 140,000 km in 2010.
In 1980, China’s railway track length usage was 20,000 km and grew slowly by the end of the period which reached at 90,000 km. As for India, it constituted 40,000 km in the initial year and by 2010, there was a staggering rise in the kilometer of India’s railway track length from 40,000 km to 70,000 km.
