The above bar chart illustrate the weekly spending of an average family in the year 1987 and year 2007. In 1987, the weekly spending on fuel and power was the highest among other spending categories while in 2007 the highest weekly spending was for housing. Weekly spending on housing of an average family was doubled from 1987 to 2007.
The lowest, 7% of weekly spending was indicated for tobacco in 1987 and it remain the loweset even in the year 2007. However weekly spending of an average family indicated noticable decrease from 7% to 2% from 1987 to 2007. In the year 2007 the weekly spending for transport was significantly higher, 31% compared to the year 1987 where it was 11% for transpotation.
The weekly spending for other goods and services remaind in simillar values for both years which is 16%. The weekly spending for food in 2007 was 5% where it was 10% in the year 1987.
When comparing the weekly spending of an average family in a European country from 1987 to 2007, the highest increase (18%) in weekly spending was identified for the housing and the highest decrease (5%) was identified for the tobacco and for the food.
