The bar graph compares the percentages of foreign and UK students who gained second class degrees or better in various courses in an UK university during 2019.
Overall, the percentages of both groups showed a variety of values in all categories. While the success rates of international students surpassed those of UK students in some sections, UK students managed to prevail over foreign students in other categories during that year.
Firstly, in the nursing course, both groups were equal and around 75%. However, the percentage of international students rose to 80%, whereas the UK students decreased to just over 60% in the category of electrical engineering. Furthermore, in information technology, the gap became even bigger, marking an approximate 30% difference between the groups. On the other hand, the success rate of UK students soared to almost 65%, while that of international students significantly decreased in English literature.
After these sections, in art history, the success rates of groups are considerably higher compared to the English literature category. In the accountancy category, the sucess rates of both international and UK students dropped down to 60%. In the international law and sociology sections, UK students were relatively better compared to foreign students, which were nearly 20% and 5% differences respectively.
