Overall, it can be seen from the table there was a marginal growth in cinema attendance, however, frequency of visits showed a considerable drop throughout the given period. Meanwhile, young individuals,those aged 14-24 attended cinemas more, compared to other age groups.
In 1996, the percentage of population visiting cinemas made up 62%, however, it increased substantially to 72% in the next year. Then exhibited only fluctuations and ended the period at the same point,accounting for 72%. Regarding to the frequency of visits reached its peak in 1996, at 11.1 visits, but it had gone up steadily to 8.3 by 2000.
Initially, the highest figures in terms of visits belonged to 14-24-aged group, accounting for just over 15 visitors, whereas the group aged 25-30 also showed similar trends, but at slightly lower rates, making up approximately 14. In contrast older people aged 35-49 and 50+ both very rarely attended cinemas, with about 13 and 10, respectively.
