Overall,the American and Canadian web users grew steadily over the period, while Mexican web users gradually increased at a different pace compared to the other two.
In 1999, around 25% of the US population were web users, compared to about 15% of Canadians and 10% of Mexicans.A couple of years later,in 2003,there was a significant increase in American and Canadian web users, with approximately a 48% and 60% rose, respectively.By contrast, Mexican web users steadily increased to about 17%.
As a matter of fact, the percentage of web users in the US and Canada slightly rose to around 70% by 2005, reaching nearly three-quarters,higher than in 2003.On the other hand,Mexico had the lowest web user percentage compared to the US and Canada with about 25% of the population.In 2009, Canada overtook the US and reached the highest peak on the graph, while the figure for Mexico remained below 50%.
