The bar chart provides information on the time men and women spent on activities that are done at home each week.
Overall, surfing the internet, gardening and watching television are favoured by males, while females dominate over men in four categories, such as cleaning the house, washing up, reading and cooking, which makes a huge difference.
Regarding the high points at first, females showed the highest figures in this chart. They dedicate 15 hours of their time to cooking per week, while that for males is approximately 9 hours. Surfing the internet makes a big difference between men and women. Men spend about 12 hours of their time on it, and women lag far behind with 4 hours. When it comes to watching television, males are the leaders again with around 14 hours. Females, however, accounted for about 12 hours.
As for the lowest figures, gardening is an unpopular activity for both genders. Males accounted for around 2 hours, while for women is virtually 1 hour each week. Females spent 5 hours of their time on washing, whereas the figure for men is 2 hours. Washing up is another activity dominated by women with roughly 7 hours per week, while men allocate 4 hours in the entire week. Finally, the figures for reading both genders accounted for almost the same points. Men recorded 4 hours, but their competitor made higher points with 6 hours.
