Overall, there was a decreasing trend in the price of color TV and black and white TV while the opposite was true for the average Japanese wage. In addition, the cost of color TV was the highest among the mentioned country.
To begin with, around 110 thousand yen was the cost of black and white TV in 1953. Subsequently, its figure slump to 40 thousand yen after 10 years. This number continued to decrease to 20 thousand yen in 1983. There was a decrease in that color Tv from 100 thousand yen in 1953 to around 47 thousand yen in 1983.
Alternatively, being the last in the first year was the average Japanese wage with approximately 18 thousand yen, however, it continually rose and surpassed the other two in around 1970 and1979, respectively and terminated at approximately 67 thousand yen in 1983.
