With regard to salary, it can be seen that the figure began at just under 20,000 Yen, and then it experienced a significant rise to approximately 70,000 Yen in the last year.
On the other hand, the costs of televisions fell dramatically in the period given. Black and white televisions was sold at around 110,000 Yen in the first year, which was the highest price during the period; however, the figure dropped to a low of 20,000 Yen in 1983. Likewise, the color televisions only started at 100,000 Yen in 1960 after which it declined to almost half of the primary price (almost 50,000 Yen) in 1983. Moreover, the cost of it was always more than a black and white television by the end of the period.
