The line graph shows how popularity of various outdoor activities changed over the period 1997 to 2007 among Australians. Although, picnicking and walking experience a decline, popularity of three other activities increased. The only one sport that remain constant all over the period was horse riding.
As it can be seen, Camping and water activities have a similar patterns of grow. Initially, they both increased and reached the peak in 2001 (Camping from about 22% to 25% and water activities from less than 40% to approximately 58%), than, a marginal decrease occurred (not more than 2-3%). Despite that, water activities finally, became equally popular as Picnicking that declined for about 5% between 2001 and 2007.
Walking was the second popular activity but because of the constant decrease from 60 percent in 1997 to about 36 percent in 2007 it moved to a third place. Opposite pattern was performed by Cycling as far as it increased for over then 5%.
