Overall, the highest rates of recycling trash in both years were held by the United Kingdom, whereas Germany had the least amount of people who did some recycling. Moreover, both Japan and Singapore faced a slight decrease in the number of people who recycle their rubbish.
In the period of twelve years, the percentage of people recycling their rubbish in both the United Kingdom and the United States of America increased from just over 25 percent and a little above 15 percent in 1992 to the amount in between 30 and 35 percent and a little below 20 percent, respectively. In contrast, Germany showed 5 percent of people who recycle in both years.
Japan had the percentage of over 10 percent in 1992, and later it demonstrated a slight decrease of just below 10 percent. The number of citizens who dispose of their waste through recycling declined in Singapore over 12 years, being in between 5 and 10 percent to just a little above 5 percent.
