This line graph illustrates the trends for vegetarian diet of UK’s adolescents from 1980 to 2020.
Although there is not much growth in vegetarian population from 1800 to 1995, but from 1995 to 2000 people’s preference for that moderately increased but then decreased gradually from 2000 to 2005 and from 2005 to 2015 the slope levelled off and remained the same to the point where it was before in the 90s, as if nothing has changed.
Eventually, from 2015 to 2020 due to advancement in technology and more people having access to media causing them to be more aware of the suffer animals go through to produce meat, demands for the vegetarian diet rapidly increased.
It can also be assumed that during those years many other delicious types of vegetarian food was invented and the recipe was able to be in hands of more people by then causing them to alter their omnivorous diet into a vegetarian one.
