Overall, while the percentage of citizens going to the cinema on Friday saw no changes over the years, the other remaining days had oscillated over the time. In addition, individuals living in a European country went to the cinema the most on weekends.
Starting with 2003, the proportion of residents going to the cinema on Monday was the lowest, with 10%. In contrast, the figures for Saturday were four times higher than Monday. Meanwhile, the figures for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are marginally fluctuated between 15% and 20%. Other remaining days had the same scale at 30%.
According to 2005, the percentage of individuals spending time at the cinema on Monday witnessed a rapid enhancement, approximately 5% higher than the previous figure while it exhibited a diminishing tendency on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The population went to the cinema on Sunday more than the previous year and the figure peaked at over 34%.
Finally in 2007, Saturday had a steady growth at a peak of 45%, making it the highest number confronted to six remaining days. Both Monday and Wednesday had downward trends, especially Wednesday registered a steep decline to about 7% and became the lowest. After experiencing a slight decrease in 2005, Tuesday and Thursday increased back to around 18%. While the figures for Sunday had a drop to 32%, Friday remained stable in the three surveyed timeframe.
