It is also important to note that the variety of individuals, from 34 to 54 years old, still retained its ranking during the given period.
Looking first at the teenage group, from 16 to 24 years old, and the group from 34 – 54 years, they followed contrasting trends. While the former experienced four-fold increase, from only 4% in 1983 to 15% at the end of period, the latter, which was dominant during the surveyed timeframe, substantially dropped, from half of the number of visitors initially to only 35% in 2003. Despite expansive change, that age group still retained its ranking till the end.
Regarding under 15 years, beginning with 10% of travellers in 1983, this group of ages then slightly decreased by 2% in 2003. Followed by this group, visitors ageing from 25 to 34 years old, starting at 20% in 1983, after two decades its figure then declined to only 12% in the end, becoming one of the least visitors group during the voyage.
